Barn Doors For Bathrooms: a tasteful update to the traditional bathroom model

These days, there are so many great choices for bathroom door types, shower door types, and mirror placements in a bathroom. Making the right choice for your space can depend on a few things, namely your own personal taste and the measurements you have to work with. A sliding barn door is a classy upgrade for your bathroom entrance, the separation of different sections of the bathroom, or a shower or bathtub door.

Here are just some of your options for bathroom sliding barn doors:

Frosted glass

If you’re looking for a shower or bathtub door, most prefer to go with the frosted glass look, which mimics the mostly-opaque glass typically used in traditional shower or bathtub doors. A frosted glass sliding barn door combines the classic feel of a traditional shower or bathtub door with the updated, modern feel of an unconventional sliding door. This type of door can also be used to section off different parts of the bathroom as well as cover the entrance to the bathroom.

Clear glass

Some prefer a completely transparent glass look for the doors leading to or within their bathroom. While we don’t necessarily recommend clear glass for sectioning off the more private areas of your bathroom, a clear glass sliding barn door is a classy and minimalist option for your bathroom entrance.

Mirrored

A sliding bathroom barn door made up almost entirely of a mirror is a great way to get a full-body mirror into your bathroom without having to take up any extra space. Mirrored barn doors also look great and function perfectly well as entrance doors to your bathroom or any inner doors you may need—you just pick which side of the door you would like the mirror on. (If the sliding barn door leads from a master bedroom to a master bath, you could even choose to have mirrors on both sides.)

Wood or metal

Since a sliding barn door can be installed anywhere a traditional door would be, you always have the option to place a more traditional sliding barn door in place of your inner or outer bathroom doors.
